This section of the site contains pictures, descriptions and copies of some of the Club’s archives. We will posting more material in this section over the coming months.
In contrast with the modern Greetings prepared for new Lord Mayors which are typically now limited to a single page decorated scroll, past Greetings were usually privately commissioned and printed books. One example that we have for 1913 (see links below) runs to some 60 pages and contains an extensive history of the Ward to that date.

This silver cup is inscribed as follows ‘Castle Baynard Ward Club The Gift of Frederick W Utting C.C. First Chairman 1956-1957’.

This vase was presented to the Castle Baynard Ward Club by Alderman Ian Luder to commemorate the Club’s Centenary

This silver tray was presented to the Club by our President Alderman Ian Luder at the Annual Club Dinner in December 2010.
The tray is inscribed: ‘Presented to Castle Baynard Ward Club to celebrate their centenary by Alderman Ian and Mrs Lin Luder Lord Mayor & Lady Mayoress 2008-09’

This plate was presented to the Castle Baynard Ward Club by the Lord Mayor of London and Club President Alderman Sir Greville Spratt GBE TD on the occasion of the civic luncheon of the Ward Club held at Mansion House in 1988.

The Club Standard
This standard showing the Club’s badge on a cobalt blue background was embroidered by Kate Rogers and dedicated by the Rt Revd & Rt Hon The Lord Bishop of London Richard Chartres at the Club’s Annual Carol Service in St Andrew-by-the-Wardrobe on 15 December 1998.
The Lord Mayor’s Show 1986
This painting by Sir Hugh Casson, CH, KCVO, PPRA was commissioned by the Right Hon The Lord Mayor Sir David Rowe-Ham, GBE and this print was given to the Castle Baynard Ward Club at a civic lunch in 1986.
